The twentieth century was a renaissance of modern music. It was considered the century of the second great change in the history of music. The first occurred in antiguity when instead of greek or medieval scales, the use of the tempered scale became the norm. This was considered a diabolic aggression.

The second great change took place in the twentieth century, when the tonal structure of almost three centuries was overturned, substituted by the system of serial music, or picking notes of the scale by chance.) At last music is free, and there are no more rules or taboos.

During this century, more music of the past has been interpreted than that of current composers, creating a divorce between the public of modern music, motivated by the totalitarian regimes that guarded musical romanticism in an artificial way, transforming it into a dogma in opposition of the modern and creating an art which is comercial, easy, fast, and superficial, a kind of mcdonaldization of culture.

Therefore, all modern music was considered difficult and noisy, and people closed their ears, like the men of Ulysses, in order to not hear the deadly song of the sirens. We believe to the contrary, that the music of Stravinsky, Bartok, Debussy, Schoenberg, like the books of Kafka or the movies of Fellini, make us more human.
